ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BIRDS IS HERE...
First lets look at all the types of birds/parrots I will be talking about here.
OR PARAKEETS
There are lots of color variations
There are lots of types of them
Lets start off with their personalities to see if they are a perfect pet for you!
Every budgie has a different personality. Budgies are pretty wild and do not like being held or cuddled with. They also do not like staying on their shoulder for a long time. They want lots of interaction.Another possibility is that the budgie likes it but it depends. They can be kind of loud. They are pretty vocal so you should think about that when you are getting one. They poop every 8-10 minutes and they live 10-12 years.
Every cockatiel has a different personality. Cockatiels are a perfect family pet. They love being played with but they are chill. They love just sitting on your shoulder while doing work or being cuddled with. They love just sitting there and watching you do something. They also love shredding toys so some bird kabobs would be great for them. They poop every 10-15 minutes and they live 10-14 years.
Every conure has a different personality. First I will start off by saying conures in general are very loud. As seen in the picture that is a sun conure. Sun conures are the loudest of all conures. The green cheek conure is the quietest but still is VERY loud. Conures act much like budgies except some of them love cuddles. They are wild and curious of everything. Their bites can be hard so if you are getting one for a family pet you might want to be careful. They poop around every 30-45 minutes and live up to 30 years.
You can leave your bird home alone for around 7 hours MAX but right after you have to let your bird out and interact with it. I know some people will be going to school but if you have people at home like your parent/s or guardian/s you can leave them for as long as 8 hours.
Birds diets are not just plain seeds, some people may be surprised that you should give your birds more pellets than seeds.Birds should also get fruits and vegetables EVERY DAY. There is also something called "chop" where you either put some vegetables in a food processor or chop it up yourself and that's most of the birds diet for the day. Fruits should also be given every day. Rice should be given with your chop but be careful white rice is not nutritional for birds only brown rice.
